Privacy Policy
This privacy policy describes how Eventam ("we", "our", "the app") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Eventam mobile application (the "Service").
1. Who we are
Eventam is operated by Black Bull Media, which is the data controller for the personal data processed through the Service. If you have any questions about this policy or about how your data is handled, you can contact us at info@eventam.co.
2. Data we collect
We collect only the data needed to operate Eventam's event, lead, and task management features, and we never sell your data or use it for advertising. This includes your account details such as your email, hashed password, display name, role, and organization, which let us authenticate you and give you access to the right workspace. It also includes the profile information you provide, such as your phone number, address, profile photo, and time zone, which we use to personalise your account and time your notifications correctly.
The core of the Service is the business data you intentionally enter — the names, phone numbers, email addresses, companies, follow-up dates, notes, tasks, comments, and files you create to manage your leads, contacts, and events. We also collect basic technical information such as your device model, operating system version, app version, and language to help us diagnose problems, and if the app encounters an error it records a crash report locally on your device to help with debugging. If you choose to import a guest from your phone's address book, we read only the single contact you pick; we never upload your full contact list.
We do not collect your precise location, your full device contacts list, microphone or camera content unless you explicitly attach a media file, background sensor data, or any advertising or tracking identifiers.
3. Device permissions
Eventam only asks for a device permission at the moment you use a feature that needs it, and it only ever acts on what you choose. We use the camera and photo library to capture or attach an image you select, and never to record in the background. We access your contacts only when you tap "Import from contacts" to add an event guest, reading just the single contact you pick. We use the microphone for the voice input button, where your speech is transcribed entirely on your device and the audio is never uploaded to or stored on our servers. We use notifications to show the reminders you schedule inside the app.
4. How we store and protect your data
All traffic between the app and our servers uses HTTPS with certificate pinning to defend against network interception, and your authentication tokens are stored in your device's encrypted keystore (the Android Keystore or iOS Keychain). On our servers, your data is protected by access controls and encrypted both in transit and at rest, and backups are retained only as long as needed for reliability and disaster recovery.
5. Sharing
We share data only with the service providers needed to run Eventam, and we require each of them to handle your data confidentially and only on our instructions. This means cloud hosting and storage providers that run our application, database, and file storage; a transactional email provider that delivers account emails such as password resets and one-time codes; and Apple and Google, which handle app distribution and push notifications using the limited identifiers their platforms require. We do not sell your data, share it for advertising, or transfer it to data brokers.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, under laws such as the GDPR, CCPA, or India's DPDP Act, you may have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct or delete it, to withdraw consent and close your account, and to object to certain kinds of processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@eventam.co and we will respond within 30 days. You can also delete your account directly from inside the app under Settings → Account → Delete account, which removes your personal profile data within 30 days; business data created by your organization is retained according to your organization's plan and admin settings.
7. Data retention
We keep your account data while your account is active and delete it within 30 days of account closure. Lead, contact, and task data is retained for as long as the owning organization keeps its account active, and crash reports are stored locally on your device rather than on our servers.
8. Children
Eventam is a business productivity app and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children, and if you believe a child has used Eventam you can contact us at info@eventam.co and we will delete the account.
9. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the countries where we and our service providers operate. When data leaves your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where applicable.
10. Changes to this policy
We will post material changes inside the app and update the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of Eventam after a change means you accept the updated policy.
